Mount Clark, (11,522')

Date: 2019/09/01

Companions: Rafee Memon, Tim Slatcher

Route: Southeast ArĂȘte via Mono Meadow trail to Gray Creek to spur leading to sandy slopes on south shoulder, through notch, along sandy ledges, up to ridge, across awkward step to summit. From notch to the near the ridge is class 2-3, up to ridge through awkward step was class 4, then easy class 3 to summit.

Notes: We started at 4:00am, notch around 11:00am, summit around 1:50pm, back to the notch around 3:55pm, back to the car at 9:40pm, 17h40m. Given our group of three and mixed roped climbing experience levels, we spent quite a bit of time safely navigating the class 4 section. We were content to leave some gear behind but some stronger climbers descended the same route and collected our anchors. Turned out they were friend's of a friend of Rafee's. Rafee's Photos
