Route: Bear Ridge trail to JMT, cross country to lakes beneath Recess Peak, south to meet ridge at 10,900', around south ridge of point 11,705' at 11,440', traverse to saddle, up Southwest Arête to summit. Large, blocky class 2.

Notes: The trailhead and start of the Bear Ridge trail are not where they are shown on the USGS topo. Start at the vista point. We started at 5:50am, arrived at JMT 2h30m later, summit at 6h50m, 22m at summit, 4h55m down, 12h08m roundtrip. Rafee's Photos
